People vs Fossil Fuels Week: Real Solutions, Not False Promises

Thursday October 14th - "Real Solutions, Not False Promises"

~ Training and details for this action will be given on the evening of Wednesday the 13th ~

RSVP to let us know you will attend Thursday's action!

This October, thousands of people will come to DC to demand that President Biden end the fossil fuel era. We are joining People Vs. Fossil Fuels from October 11-15, where thousands of people will take action at the White House, participate in civil disobedience, and demand that President Biden choose a side: People vs. Fossil Fuels.

Indigenous, Black, Brown, and low-income leaders living on the frontlines of this climate emergency call for a mass mobilization to send a clear message:

“President Biden, in light of the upcoming COP26 United Nations climate summit, you cannot claim to be a climate leader when you are still supporting fossil fuels. Stand with frontline communities, stand with future generations, stop approving fossil fuel projects, declare a climate emergency now.”

Read the full invitation here.

Actions will be taken over 5 days to highlight the damage done by fossil fuels, the climate impacts we are already facing, and the need for real solutions rooted in justice.

  • Monday, October 11th: Indigenous-led Action on Indigenous Peoples Day.
  • Tuesday, October 12: Fossil Fuels are Driving the Climate Crisis.
  • Wednesday, October 13: Climate Chaos is Happening Now
    • CODEPINK Side Action
  • Thursday, October 14: We Need Real Solutions, Not False Promises.
  • Friday, October 15: We Did Not Vote for Fossil Fuels. Youth-led action.

CODEPINK is forming an affinity group to support these actions and orchestrate our own to illustrate how militarism exacerbates the climate crisis, especially in frontline communities and if able, WE NEED YOU TO JOIN US!
